Addies Dive makes very cheap diving watches with sapphire crystal and genuine 100- and 200-metre water resistance. It is one of the few brands in its range that does not cut corners on the crystal, which is where almost everyone else saves.
History
The house publishes no history and no founder. What can be checked is its catalogue: quartz and automatic divers and chronographs, with sapphire crystal even on the cheapest references — where the segment's norm is mineral glass — and stated water resistance of 100 to 200 metres. It fits Japanese quartz movements and the NH35 in the automatics. It is a value brand, not a design brand: its silhouettes are the genre's.
