Who is behind it
Reserva de Marcha comes out of a simple obsession: watches tell stories. Behind it is Jorge, a collector and the maker of the review channel Big Crown, where boxes get opened, movements get regulated, and watches get discussed with hands on the table rather than from a sales script. This site is the written half of that work.
We are not a shop. We hold no stock and we charge nothing for your purchase. This is a place where someone who loves watches tells you plainly which ones he thinks are good, and why.
What we are trying to do
A good watch is not the most expensive or the loudest one; it is the one that does what it promises — keeps decent time, ages with dignity, and makes you glad every time you look at it. So we would rather recommend a few good watches than many mediocre ones. When something does not convince us, it simply does not go in the catalogue. There are no padded lists and no “best of the year” written to shift units.
Honesty is the only currency worth protecting here. If a watch has a known fault, a weak movement or a strap that will not last, we say so. We would rather lose a commission than your trust.
How the watches are chosen
Every watch in the catalogue goes through the same filter: real value for the money, a movement you can rely on (quartz or automatic alike), finishing that holds up in the hand, and a brand that stands behind what it sells. Watches we have handled, worn, or that have a traceable record among collectors come first.
We check availability, price and reputation before linking. When a watch goes out of stock or drops in quality, we mark it or pull it. The catalogue is a living thing: it changes because the market changes.
